Explore equipment for your inquiry
Automatic Drilling & Tapping Machines →Compare standard platforms and custom layouts, then prepare the part and production requirements for your quote.
Why a machine photo cannot establish the price
The same platform can be discussed with different tools, holders, fixtures and part requirements. A photograph identifies an equipment direction; it does not establish the complete supply needed for your drawing. An automatic drilling machine price also cannot stand in for a proposal that includes tapping, part transfer and agreed inspection tasks.
Ask for the simplest configuration that meets the defined work. A standard platform is a starting point to review, while a custom arrangement needs a stated reason such as machining access, operation sequence or loading. Do not assume that the most automated option is necessary before those requirements are understood.
Identify the decisions that change your budget
Resolve these questions before treating an early amount as a firm equipment budget. The table describes scope decisions, not a price ranking: their actual cost effect must come from the proposed configuration.
Separate automatic feed from automatic part loading
Automatic spindle feed means a machining motion is powered or controlled. It does not, by itself, mean parts are loaded, unloaded or inspected automatically. Write these requirements separately when requesting a price, especially if you are comparing a manually loaded platform with a feeding cell.
If the budget is constrained, identify which tasks must be automated and which can remain with an operator. Ask whether distinct loading options are technically appropriate for your part, with their assumptions stated. Part orientation, incoming condition and variants need review before automatic feeding can be included as a confirmed solution.
Send four inputs to start a configuration quote
Begin with the information below; you do not need to choose a model first. If the drawing is incomplete, use dimensioned photos and explicitly mark the unknown details. A first discussion can identify missing information, but final equipment scope needs confirmed requirements.
- A current drawing or dimensioned photos, with material and incoming part condition.
- The holes, threads and other operations you want the machine to perform.
- Required accepted output per stated period, plus part variants and batch sizes.
- Preferred loading method and delivery country or city; write undecided where an option needs review.
Use an early estimate differently from an agreed offer
For an initial budget, ask which drawing, configuration and delivery assumptions the amount relies on and which open questions could change it. Keep the quote date and validity visible. Do not extend a price for one part or machine arrangement to a different project without another review.
Before ordering, align the proposed operations, tooling, fixtures, loading and acceptance scope with the quotation. Then use the companion quotation breakdown to compare inclusions and buyer responsibilities consistently. That worksheet is for evaluating offers after the equipment direction is defined; it does not supply a universal machine price.
